Upcoming ParentSquare Test Alert – Thursday at 1:00 PM
Dear CPP Families,
The Corning-Painted Post Area School District will be conducting a routine test of our ParentSquare Alert system this Thursday (11/5) at 1:00 PM.
What to expect:
At 1:00 PM on Thursday, you will receive a brief test message across your available contact methods (text, email, and/or app notification).
Why we are testing:
ParentSquare Alerts are reserved for urgent and time-sensitive situations, such as weather delays, snow days, or emergency notifications. Unlike standard daily posts, Alerts instantly notify you regardless of your notification digest settings. Testing the system ensures our emergency broadcast channels are functioning properly and reaching all families.
No action is required on your part.
Thank you for your partnership and support as we work to keep our school community safe and informed!

CPP is introducing a new way to stay connected
Dear CPP families,
We’re excited to share that we’ve adopted a new communication platform called ParentSquare to help us keep you better informed and more connected with your school community. ParentSquare is replacing Remind and this will be the last message you will receive via Remind.
With ParentSquare, you’ll receive all school and classroom messages in one place and translated into your preferred language—whether by email, text, app, or web. You’ll also be able to:
Stay up to date on news and events
Receive attendance notifications
Receive emergency / snow day / delay notifications
More features coming this year!
To get the most out of ParentSquare, we encourage you to download the free mobile app, available for iOS and Android. You can also access ParentSquare from your web browser at www.parentsquare.com.
We’ll be sharing more information soon, including how to set up your account and customize your notification preferences.
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your student’s success.

Juneteenth, observed on June 19, is an official public holiday in New York State.
In October 2020, the Gov. officially marked Juneteenth as a state public holiday, several months after the Gov. had issued an executive order recognizing Juneteenth as a holiday for state employees.
The new state law celebrates Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, which celebrates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. On June 19, 1865, a Union Army general announced the federal orders in Texas even though President Abraham Lincoln had officially outlawed slavery in Texas and the other Confederate states almost two and half years earlier.
This year, Friday, June 19, 2026 CPP Schools will be closed in honor of Juneteenth.
