This year’s Equity Day is Thursday, May 2nd from 5:30-7:30pm. The theme is CommUNITY Conversations. We will highlight work across all schools that fosters belonging and community. The district’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) committee developed a program for the day. Calendar update: Due to the fact that we have had a mild winter, the District did not use all of its emergency days. The District will be closed on Friday, May 24th. This creates a 4 day weekend around Memorial Day.
Skylar Kellar (former Calvin U. Smith student) is the President of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at CCC. They recently held an early childhood book drive, and Skylar stopped by Smith to drop off book donations that will go directly to students! Principal Mrs. Wolfe said, "We are also working with them to schedule guest readers in our classrooms in late April!"
