Carder Elementary teacher Melanie Crisco's Teaching Assistant, Sha Lui, created a slide show for students all about how Chinese New Year came to be and the history behind the holiday. This year is the Year of the Rabbit. The students loved the story and asked many questions about the holiday. As a culminating project, Mrs. Lui demonstrated to the students how to write the words Happy New Year. The photos are examples of the students' work
