Excellence in Action is presented by the CPP Board of Education to recognize school, family and community members who demonstrate superb commitment to the success of CPP students. The CPP Hawks Sports Booster Club was recently recognized with the award for their tireless work on behalf of CPP student athletes and Hawks teams. Club officers were presented with plaques by Board of Education member Margie Lawlor. The officers are Dan Davis, President; Quay Wells, Vice President; Heidi VanWoert, Treasurer and Bridgett Freelove, Secretary.
Ms Lawlor said, “The Hawks Booster Club exists to enhance safety and competitiveness of Hawks athletic teams. Parent leaders commit considerable time and effort to Concession and Spirit Wear sales to fuel the finances of the Club. This fundraising empowers investments in fitness room equipment, uniform and equipment upgrades, training programs and supports, transportation and meals to regional, state and national competitions, and more.”
