Corning-Painted Post Board of Education Announces Resignation of Board Member

The Corning-Painted Post Area School District Board of Education announced the resignation of a dedicated board member effective May 28, 2026. After five years of dedicated service, Dr. Ashley Johnson-Long expressed deep gratitude to the community and unwavering confidence in the district’s ongoing leadership.

In a formal statement to the board and the community, the trustee reflected on the honor of representing CPP families:

"Serving on the board for the past five years has been one of my greatest honors. I’m so thankful to the community for entrusting me to represent them in service to the students, staff, and families of the district. Together, we have faced challenges, celebrated the accolades of our rockstar students and teachers, and remained committed to providing the best possible educational experience for every student."

Superintendent Michelle Caulfield and the members of the Board of Education extend their heartfelt appreciation to the trustee for five years of insightful leadership, collaboration, and unwavering advocacy for the students and families of the Corning-Painted Post community.
