Thank you Karen Dutcher
At the most recent Board of Education Meeting, Secretary to the Superintendent and District Clerk Karen Dutcher, was honored with an Excellence in Action award, presented by Board President Kelley Bacalles. Mrs. Dutcher officially retired, effective today, after 25 years of service to CPP.
Superintendent Michelle Caulfield said, “They say that the Superintendent may be the face of the district, but Karen has been its heart, its memory, and its steady hand for over 25 years. When I think of professionalism, I think of Karen. But it’s never been the kind of professionalism that feels cold or distant. Instead, it’s the kind that comes from a place of knowledge and kindness. Whether it was a policy question or a nervous parent walking through the door, Karen always knows exactly what to do—and more importantly, exactly how to make people feel heard. Karen - you haven’t just managed an office; you’ve taken care of this community at a level that is truly admirable. You’ve been the quiet force behind the scenes ensuring our students have what they need, our staff feel supported, and our town feels connected to its district.”
Communications Director William Cameron, who has worked alongside Karen Dutcher since 2006 said, “Karen is a true professional in every sense of the word and it is hard to count the ways she has positively impacted this district. She always just, in her own words, ‘wanted to do her job’ and she never sought the spotlight, but she is the light that always found a way to help the superintendents she worked with solve problems or handle difficult situations and questions that came her way with a caring, reassuring manner that always represented CPP in only the best way possible. Her organizational skills, attention to detail and knowledge is immense and has served all of us through her time here. She will be greatly missed. She is trusted, valued and one of the most important people who played a critical role in all of our success over the years.”
Thank you Karen Dutcher for your 25 years of service to our district and community. We wish you the best in your retirement and future adventures with your husband Michael, your family, and especially your amazing grandchildren!
