CPPMS students created over 800 cards to show their gratitude to our veterans at the Bath VA Medical Center. The effort was organized by teacher Caterina Summa. She said, “The creativity and messages written to lift their spirits were so genuine and thoughtful. I could not be prouder of our 6th, 7th and 8th grade Hawks!”
The cards were delivered Thursday to the Bath VA by students Rhyss, Zell and Grayson with Mrs. Summa and Executive Principal Mr. Barber.

Eighth grade Living Environment Honors students of CPPMS Science teacher Mr. Canino learned the structure and functions of cell organelles in class recently. An organelle is a subcellular structure that has one or more functions to perform in a cell. Mr. Canino said, “We were then able to work in the library makerspace with Mrs. Cornell who designed animal cell models using shrink film. Glue magnets were added to the backs of the models allowing them to hang in the students’ lockers as a visual study aid.”
