Reason(s) you are seeking a seat on the Board of Education:
Interest - Education has been an interest of mine since graduate school. I’ve volunteered in many STEM classroom activities, invited students into laboratories where I work, have taken education classes, and have served on early childhood education boards. Board service leverages my past experience and interests me.
Service - I’m a firm believer in our mission “students are the center of all we do”. This is what it’s all about and I’d like the opportunity to serve our students.
More to do - 15 years that I’ve served on the board is a lot. In that time much has been accomplished. Yet, there are more opportunities to listen, learn, and improve.
