The CPPHS IB HL1 Chemistry students recently participated in the Science on Seneca educational program which allows students to conduct field research for Hobart and William Smith Colleges. CPP teacher Ms. Gray said, "The students partake in various sampling techniques to collect information about Seneca Lake's temperature profile, water clarity, pH, chloride ion and dissolved oxygen concentration, biological diversity, and sediment character."
The information that students collected that day contributed to the Seneca Lake database that Hobart and William Smith Colleges Department of Geosciences has been collecting for over 20 years!
