The Corning-Painted Post Board of Education at the Wednesday, April 24 meeting unanimously approved the proposed 2019-2020 budget which will go to voters on Tuesday, May 21. The proposed budget totals $115,499,310 and calls for a tax levy increase of 2.11-percent, which is within the state-assigned tax cap. The estimated full value tax rate would remain flat from the current year into 2019-2020 – but that number is subject to change based on assessments. All programs and services are maintained in the budget proposal, but some savings will be realized through not filling positions as a result of resignations and retirements.
