National Recognition for Tesserae Yearbook

Pacemaker

The tradition continues! The CPPHS Tesserae Vol. 7 staff and editors earned both National Scholastic Press Association Pacemaker AND Columbia Scholastic Press Association Crown finalist honors this week, with dual announcements coming from the organizations Wednesday and Thursday.

Adviser Mr. Simons said, "This is the seventh year in a row Tesserae has been recognized in the top tier nationally — each awards list includes roughly 60 high school books coast to coast. CSPA will announce their Silver and Gold Crowns in March, virtually, and NSPA will award Pacemakers in person in April."

Tesserae is currently on a four-year streak of earning the "double," a Gold Crown and Pacemaker in the same year. No other school in the country has a four-year run at this time.
