Career Day

“You can be anything” was the theme of Carder Elementary School’s Career Day, held Friday, June 7th. The event was sponsored by the school and the Career Development Council. Four sessions for students across all grade levels featured numerous careers represented, including Information Technology, Engineering, Public Safety/Firefighter/Law Enforcement, Military, Visual Merchandising, Scientist, Marketing Communications, Therapy Dog Program, Meteorologist, Photographer, Kitchen and Bath Designer, just to name a few! Over 40 people, including parents and community members, volunteered their time to come in and speak to students. Principal Mr. Dan Davis said, “We are grateful to have such a supportive group which made for an informative and educational day for our students.” He added, “I would also like to thank the Career Development Council for organizing the day. It took a tremendous amount of communication and work, and our students benefited greatly from this experience.”
