An Additional, Earlier Phone Call for Attendance for Middle and High School Levels Starts This Month

To All Parents and Guardians of Students in Grades 6-12:

In a continued attempt to improve our communication between school and home, we will be implementing a second daily attendance call mid-morning from our automated system.  This phone call will let families of students in grades 6-12 know if their student has not arrived at school in the morning based on Period 1 attendance.

This call will be in addition to our traditional after-school call which reports absences throughout the day.  Your student’s attendance to school is important to us academically, but it is also vital that they arrive at school and stay at school.  We hope this additional call will help us monitor this together and create a continued safe, learning environment for all of our students.

This change will take place on February 11, 2019. If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact your student’s building principal.

Sincerely,

Michael K. Ginalski

Superintendent of Schools
