Board of Education Recognition


The CPP Board of Education honored Tesserae Yearbook Adviser and teacher Mike Simons who recently was named the Journalism Education Association National Yearbook Adviser of the Year. An Excellence in Action award was presented Wednesday, January 19th by Board of Education Vice President Mary Franklin to Mr. Simons in recognition of his hard work and dedication to Tesserae scholastic journalism and the C-PP community. Mr. Simons said, "Thank you to Superintendent Michelle Caulfield, Executive Principal Robin Sheehan and the Board of Education for supporting our program." He said, "Our student journalists have the support and freedom to cover the stories that matter to them."
