Janelle Meteer has been a member of the Corning- Painted Post School Board of Education for 10 years. A native of California, she has lived in the Corning area for 29 years along with her daughters Jordan (CPPHS 2016) and Julia (CPPHS 2018). Prior to joining the Board, Janelle was active with Calvin U. Smith PTA and BLT and Northside Blodgett PTA. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader for 7 years.
Janelle holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University. She is employed by Corning Incorporated and has held various positions in manufacturing, engineering, global supply chain and project management. She was the Plant Manager of the Pressware facility.
Janelle and her daughters love hiking, camping and traveling. She is driven to serve the community as a Board member based on her belief that a solid education is the best gift you can give a child as that allows them to create their own future.
