Dr. Ashley Johnson-Long works for Corning, Inc. as a technology manager, and has years of experience in leading diverse, cross-functional teams. She has a passion for increasing exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. She is also an advocate for holistic learning approaches to prepare students to become well-rounded citizens ready to contribute positively to the local and broader global community.
Dr. Johnson-Long is married with two young boys. She is a past President of the Omicron Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she lives the mission to be of “service to all mankind” through her active involvement in various community youth enrichment programs.
Dr. Johnson-Long’s educational background includes a BS in electrical engineering from Florida A&M University, a MS and PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
It is an honor to serve the students of the district in this capacity.
