Dale Wexell is a life-long Corning resident and graduated from CFA High School in 1960.
After receiving a Ph.D. from Georgetown University, he completed a career as scientist and technical manager at Corning Inc. and is currently an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Elmira College. His wife, Kathleen, is a Process Engineer at Corning Incorporated and their children, Heather and Christopher, are graduates of the Corning-Painted Post district.
His contributions to the community include multiple terms on the Corning-Painted Post Board of Education while serving as President and Vice-President of the Board for many years. Other community activities have included service to Greater Southern Tier United Way, Science and Discovery Center, Southeast Steuben County Library, Southern Tier Library System, Greater Corning Area Chamber of Commerce, Foundation for Southern Tier Libraries and Save the Children.
