Before working for the Corning School District, she was a program director at P.S. 92 in Brooklyn for several years. In her spare time Liz loves to read, play cards, and spend time with friends and family. She also has an affinity for reality television (sad, but true). Liz loves working at the HSLC because she gets to spend time with people she cares about everyday, and teach a subject about which she is truly passionate.

Lauren Frazer, Science

Lauren Frazer has been teaching Science at the High School Learning Center since 2014. However, she has been an employee in the Corning- Painted Post School District since 1998, previously teaching 7th and 8th grade sciences. Lauren grew up in Corning and was a student at Severn, CFA and graduated from East High School in 1994. After graduating, she attended SUNY Geneseo for 4 years exploring the sciences and ultimately graduating with dual teaching certificates in Education:  K-6 and Biology 7-12. She got a job at CFA right after graduation and then completed her Master’s Degree at Elmira College in 2003. Lauren has been involved in many aspects of school life from being a track coach and Student Council Advisor to holding several positions on school committees. She is very involved and always looking for ways to get her students to be motivated to learn and passionate about life. For this reason, she and the HSLC are a great fit.  Lauren is looking forward to many wonderful years as a teacher at the High School Learning Center and loves going to work every day
