Science in Our Elementary Schools

Rigorous, Integrated Instruction

At the elementary level, children from Pre-K to Grade 5 experience a continuum of Science instruction. Beginning with themes of plants, animals, the seasons and nutrition in Pre-Kindergarten, and progressing to units on stars, matter and motion in Grade 5, classroom teachers fulfill students natural curiosity by engaging them through cross-subject and hands-on learning.

Dedicated Faculty Teams

Committed to student learning, C-PP faculty work with one another to uncover new, engaging ways to show students how the subjects they learn relate to one another and to life outside school. Also, many teachers have gone the extra mile to overcome budget limitations by accessing outside funding for special programs.
