Relevance
All C-PP students will demonstrate readiness for adult roles by applying fundamental skills and competencies to personal, school, community and workplace settings. This includes:
- Communication - synthesize, analyze and convey information effectively and accurately
- Practical Life Skills - job seeking, budgeting, personal coping skills, time management, health and fitness
- Problem Solving - able to apply new knowledge & skills in a variety of real-life settings to solve problems
- Responsible Behavior - accountable for consequences of behavior, strong work ethic
- Teamwork - working with diverse people, conflict management, negotiation, forming productive relationships
- Citizenship - volunteerism, community service, voting
Every day, Relevance is being reinforced in District classrooms as curriculum emphasizes the connections between subjects and real life experiences. At the secondary level, students at every skill level are exposed to potential career choices through job fairs, mentor programs and internship experiences.
