When is graduation?
Graduation for the Class of 2018 at Corning-Painted Post High School will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018.
Can we arrive early?
The C-PP HS Fieldhouse will open to guests at 5:30 p.m.
Is graduation open to the public?
Each member of the graduating class will receive six (6) tickets to the graduation ceremony in the Fieldhouse; those can be used by friends and family to gain entry to the ceremony. Overflow seating will be offered first-come, first-served in the C-PPHS
theater, where our student media team will be broadcasting their livestream feed in real-time. Unticketed guests are welcome to view the graduation ceremony from that location.
When do students receive their six tickets?
Graduation tickets will be distributed to students at rehearsal on Thursday, June 21, at 10 a.m.
Where can we find parking?
Parking is available on the C-PPHS campus, as well on the streets adjacent to the campus, including on Corning Boulevard and the side streets in the Houghton Plot neighborhood. Please note that all traffic and parking laws will be enforced by the Corning Police Department, and that you should allow sufficient time to walk to the campus from your parking location. Please watch for pedestrians. See the image below for on-campus parking locations; note that the red star indicates the main entrance for the Fieldhouse, and that the blue star indicates the secondary entrance to the building, which is convenient to the overflow seating in the C-PPHS Theater.
Where can we stand to take pictures of our student receiving their diploma?
We ask that all guests remain seated throughout the ceremony. Members of the Black & Gold Student Media team will be taking pictures of the entire ceremony, including each graduate receiving their diploma on stage. We estimate that the pictures
will be available by Monday, June 25, via Dropbox and a web link we will post at this page. You can see examples of past photography at tinyurl.com/cppgrad15.
We have family members out of town who would like to see the ceremony. Where will it be broadcast?
Members of our Black & Gold Student Media team will livestream the ceremony beginning at 6:55 p.m. Check back here the week of June 17 for a link to the stream viewer.
Will refreshments be available for purchase?
No. There will be complimentary ice water available at the Fieldhouse concessions stand.
We have a family member with a disability who needs accessible seating. Is there handicapped seating available?
Yes. There are a number of accessible seats throughout the Fieldhouse. Please see a member of our event staff for assistance upon arrival, if needed.
A member of our group has a hearing impairment. Are there hearing assist devices available?
Yes. Upon your arrival, please see a member of our event staff; they will be able to help you secure a hearing assist device to use during the ceremony. Please note - we suggest you arrive early so that we can assist you and give you time to find your
seats before the ceremony begins.
