International Baccalaureate - Diploma Program To date, 60 students from East and West have earned the full International Baccalaureate Diploma. Each year, enrollment in Diploma Program courses has steadily increased. Students have registered for 677 IB courses in the 2008-2009 school year. C-PP teachers at both high schools are qualified to teach these courses after receiving training in the IB philosophy, instructional strategies and assessments through targeted staff development opportunities. The IB Diploma Program (DP) curriculum is widely recognized as the most prestigious college prep program in the world. It is challenging but manageable for most hard working students who want to earn college credits and improve their college admission potential. Because the IB Diploma Program is so rigorous, the C-PP Board of Education has approved weighted grades for all DP courses to ensure the grading system is fair.
