Bart work with?
Ms. Baldini
When
can I visit Bart?
The CFA Library is open Monday through Friday from 7:55 A.M. until 3:15
P.M. It's open every period of the school day unless a class is scheduled.
Sometimes the library is used as a homework site after school.
What
procedure do I follow to visit Bart?
Sometimes you will come to the library with your entire class to work
on a project. Other times you will come on your own by getting a signed
pass from your teacher.
May I
come to the library during lunch?
There are special lunchtime passes available. Ask your homeroom teacher
for one of these passes each day that you want to come. There may also
be a pass available from one of your morning classroom teachers.
What
type of material may I borrow from the library and how long may I keep
it?
Hardbound Fiction - circulates for 2 weeks.
Paperback Fiction - circulates for 2 weeks.
Story Collection - circulates for 2 weeks.
Non-fiction books - circulate for 2 weeks.
Magazines - circulate for 2 days only.
What
else is available?

be used in the library.
How many
items may I borrow?
You may have a total of 3 items checked out. It can be 3 books, or 3
magazines, or any combination.
May I
borrow more than one issue of the same magazine?
When you borrow 2 or 3 magazines, each issue must be a different
title. This will allow better access to magazines for all students interested.
What
if I'm not finished reading when the due date arrives?
Magazines must be returned when they are due. Books, however, may be
renewed for another 2 week period.
Where
do I return library material?
All material borrowed from the CFA Library must be returned to the library.
There is a slot in the top of the circulation desk where you may drop
your material into the book return.
Will
I receive date due reminders?
At the point of check out, you are given a date due label. It
is your responsibility to return material on time. If you
lose the label, Ms. Baldini can tell you when the material is
due. Once the material becomes past due, you may receive up to 3 overdue
notices. If the material is still not returned, you will then be assigned
recess detention. After that, if the material is still not returned,
a bill will be sent home to your parent/guardian. Also, please note
that if you have any overdue material, you may not check out additional
items until the overdue is returned.
What
is the Take One/Leave One display case by the library front door?
Items on this display case are free for the taking. These items do not
have to be checked out. You do not have to tell anyone that
you are taking any of this material. You may keep it as long as you
want, even forever. However, if you decide you no longer want the material,
return it to the display case so others may have the opportunity to
read it. Also, if you own reading material, which you no longer want
to keep and it is appropriate for middle school, consider donating it
to the CFA Library (please give it to Ms. Baldini).
Are there
computers available in the library?
There are 3 stand-up computers that are always logged on to the OPAC
(online public access catalog) so you may search to find what material
the library owns and its availability. In addition, there are 24 computers
that provide access to the OPAC, the Internet, and software products
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Are there
any special policies regarding computer use?
Library computers are to be used only for school-related activities.
You may not intentionally waste computer resources for any activity that
is non-school-related.
May I
recommend material for the library to purchase?
Yes, you may fill out a form recommending material for the library's
collection and Ms. Baldini will give it consideration when ordering.
Forms are available in the library media center.
What
type of material does the library acquire?
Ms. Baldini looks for curriculum-related material and pleasure
reading appropriate for middle school.
