Academic Intervention Services
Academic Intervention Service (AIS) is a state-mandated program designed to help students who find learning difficult. Students with needs in particular subjects are usually identified by their scores on state tests. Or, they can be identified as struggling with a specific skill (organization, literacy, comprehension, processing) by teachers in the classroom. AIS teachers work with these students to help them improve.
C-PP's AIS program format features regularly scheduled AIS classes of no more than 10 students, allowing the teacher to work individually with each student to help them master some of the needed proficiencies. The work we do through these programs reflects all three of our Rigor, Relevance and Relationships learning goals.
