Rigor + Relevance + Relationships = Educational Excellence |

The IB Teacher Through IB, C-PP teachers are encouraged to collaborate with their colleagues to develop interrelated courses, lesson plans and activities — and to coordinate assignments to make the workload more manageable for students. This teamwork provides an excellent model of collaboration and esprit d’ corps for |

students — and helps strengthen relationships among teachers as well. Our teachers benefit from IB’s online resources and ongoing training opportunities. In addition, C-PP teachers participate in roundtable discussions for each subject area presented by the Western New York Consortium of IB Schools. In addition, C-PP teachers are becoming mentors to other teachers who are beginning their IB journey. In Fall 2007, five District secondary teachers traveled to Long Island to share their experiences and lessons learned in the MYP with the Commack Middle School. CFA, Northside Blodgett, East and West High Schools are served by an MYP Coordinator who conducts on-site teacher training, works with guidance counselors and serves as a link with the IB organization to make sure requirements are understood and met. In addition, East and West High Schools each have a DP Coordinator on-site who serves as the link between the students, administrators, guidance counselors and the IB organization.
